About the Project and its Partners
The Women Entrepreneurs for Women Entrepreneurs (WE4WE) Project is a joint initiative by Passing Gifts Private Limited (PGPL) and the Association of Business Women in Commerce & Industry (ABWCI).
The project aims to accelerate women-led development by strengthening women-led Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in tribal and rural Odisha.
Core Focus Areas
Under this initiative, ABWCI collaborated with four women-led FPOs in the Koraput district of Odisha, which primarily dealt with cultivating turmeric, ginger, and small millets. The project fostered economic empowerment poverty alleviation and social development.
Its two core focus areas were:
Establishing sustainable market linkages to ensure predictable income and enhanced market access
Conducting tailored mentoring sessions for the women-led Board of Directors (BoDs) and office bearers of the FPOs.
